Peacock Desk Clock
MoMA Exclusive: To celebrate its 40th anniversary, the Peacock Desk clock—a postmodern design by NYC-based designer Nicolai Canetti from 1984—has been reissued. A classic Memphis design that still feels modern 40 years later, the Peacock Clock is characterized by bold colors and geometric clock hands, along with a ball near the second hand that bounces as the hand turns around the face. The clock can be adjusted and positioned in various ways by moving its neck—a nod to the preening exhibitionism of an actual peacock. A functioning art object for your space, the Peacock Clock has a heavy solid base to hold it steady as you position it. The Peacock Desk Clock requires one AA battery (not included) and is made of steel and aluminum. It measures 13.5h x 5" diam.base. Postmodern designs are represented in MoMA’s collection.
