An early example of the wonders of molded plywood by the famous team that pioneered its development, the ergonomic Eames® Molded Plywood Lounge Chair (LCW), a Charles and Ray Eames design from 1946, was reissued in 1994 by Herman Miller®, the original manufacturer. The contours of its low and casual form comfortably cradle your body. (LCW stands for “lounge chair with wood base.) Made in the USA of five-ply hardwood inner plies with neoprene shock mounts, the Eames Molded Plywood Lounge Chair (LCW)—as well as its maker, Herman Miller—is represented in MoMA's collection.
