Jean-Michel Basquiat Trumpet Skateboard Triptych

This Jean-Michel Basquiat Skateboard Triptych features a reproduction of Basquiat's 1984 painting Trumpet. The artwork expressed Basquiat's love of jazz, a genre of music he also composed and played. Trumpet pays homage to the legends of jazz and also tells a story of Black struggle during an era of widespread racism. Made from 7-ply Canadian maple wood by The Skateroom, each deck in this Jean-Michel Basquiat Skateboard Triptych measures 31h x 8w x 0.5"d. Basquiat's work is represented in MoMA's collection.
