Romare Bearden Holiday Cards - Set of 12

This set of 12 Romare Bearden Holiday Cards feature a design by Bearden that was originally featured in MoMA’s holiday card program in 1969. Bearden's work is represented in MoMA's collection.

Since the 1940s, MoMA has produced an annual line of holiday cards designed by emerging and established artists, some of whom are featured in the Museum’s collection. The MoMA Holiday Card Program featured such well-known artists as Robert Indiana, Andy Warhol, and Alexander Calder before they were household names. The selection process, which has changed very little since the early days of the program, begins with an open call for submissions and continues through a thorough evaluation of each design, resulting in an assortment of cards that embody MoMA’s criteria for good design while embracing the spirit of the holiday season.
