L'e Stark Bread Knife
A collaboration between French heritage tableware company Degrenne and designer Philippe Starck, the L’e Stark Bread Knife is composed of a stainless steel blade and ergonomic handle for easier bread slicing. Use it to slice all types of bread, from sourdough boulés to whole-grain loafs to classic baguettes. The L’e Stark Bread Knife is made in France by Degrenne, a company founded in 1948 that’s renowned for their stainless-steel cutlery production at a factory in Thiers. (In post-war France, Degrenne founder Guy Degrenne came up with the idea to recover armor steel from tanks used during the Battle of Normandy to make stamping dies for stainless-steel cutlery.)Philippe Starck has designs in MoMA’s collection. The L’e Stark Bread Knife measures 14” long and is dishwasher-safe.
